Situated on one of the most difficult sites in Maputo, and overlooking the bay of Maputo towards Inhaca, we designed 2000 sqm of GLA with rooftop parking. The site came with various height restrictions due to sensitivity towards the neighbouring sites above the site. This restriction allowed us to provide the building with roof parking rather than a car park below the building.

The site spans from one road above to a road about 13metres below. The challenge here was to design a building, contemporary in design, and being a leading Insurance House in Mozambique, needed a Grand Entrance. The response here was to design a grand Double Volume entrance at ground floor with lift access to the upper floors. All floors have stunning sea views and verandahs to enjoy the Maputo air when needed.

The building is occupied by Global Alliance as the anchor and various other smaller tenants throughout the building.
